Another of my favorite projects ever. As shown by almost every major assignment I did for this class (as well as one for my InDesign course,) I really have a love for trying to recreate styles from the past. I spent a lot of time on this trying to reverse engineer lithography that would've been used to make posters from the sci fi B-movie era. This assignment really helped me sort out the process of making art that harkens back to other eras. I spend a lot of time exploring these processes for fun now.
A note: both of the typefaces used in the art (Austin and Potomac) were released by Filmotype in the 1950s. I really wanted to make it period accurate!
